The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust Blashford Lakes reserve is located in the Avon Valley, in the far
south-west of Hampshire. The reserve ocupies part of the gravel floodplain just
downslope from the western flanks of the New Forest. The town of
Ringwood lies immediately to the south, and Fordingbridge is found
about 5km to the north. Access off the A338 north of Ringwood, on Ellingham Drove.
